I just got a copy of Sandra and I am very confused and disappointed with my computer. When I carry out the memory benchmark it gives me results lower than the WinChip 266 with 64 EDO. This would be ok if it was lower than that.
Mine is AMD K6-2 333 @ 350,
Soyo 5EMA mobo,
192Mb PC100 (1x64, 1x128)
Can anyone please tell me why this is so, is it due to cheap memory? The values I get are:
CPU/Memory...80MB/s
FPU/Memory...82MB/s

Should I ditch the memory and get some branded?

I got this stuff because I am a poor student but don't like these results.

Please help, thanks.

I can't remember where I saw the message but it was about memory benchmarks and using Sandra,it might be on this site, look around for it. Anyway what it said was that sandra doesn't work properly with non-intel based systems, like AMD, I think that you need to double the memory results to get the true reading? It's not your memory it's the program.
