mIRC proxy connections

Does anyone know a way to use IRC through a proxy and be able to do file transfers... i ahve succesfully setup mIRC to run through our proxy server using Spoonproxy, but i can not send or receive file transfers.

I have known mIRC to fail on file send/recieve with many proxy services. I'm using SyGate right now and mIRC has no problems.
