GTA: San Andreas. Got it yet?

Anybody got GTA San Andreas yet and had a few hours to play it? Initial impressions? Is it living up to the hype? What do you like / dislike about it? Worth it to go out and get it right away or wait till its price falls. What's new and better about it since Vice City? I was a huge fan of GTA III and Vice City. Is this title gonna let me down or has Rock Star Games raised the bar even higher?

The revieweers at Gamespy ( both the good and negative ) though it was the best GTA series game out yet with much to do and overall more immersive and larger in scope.....
This game got much better marks here than the previous offers in these areas.

I did not nor still do like what they did with VC ......and lost faith in ther ability to show more of a story and graphics were cheesy... ,plus the controls were not done very well...

This game is causing much controversy with the morlality,but most games out that are any good have alot of violence and mature rating to them......

I would not get an Xbox but wait for the PC version coming later on sometime...

From what I read...this is a must buy for most as the overall reviews were better than expected on the outset.....

Take-Two Interactive's third quarter, 2004 financial results, produced some good news for PC gamers as they confirmed that GTA : San Andreas will come to PC, even if it takes it about a year to do so.

Most gamers knew that a PC version of the new Grand Theft Auto title would eventually appear but the developers and publishers had not commented on such a possibility. This refusal to confirm PC versions of games is common practice since deals with the console manufacturers restrict any such comments in order to maximize console-specific sales of the title, it is very likely that such a deal with Sony may also be the reason for the one year delay. An XBox version is also considered to be a certainty but Take2 Games would not risk bringing that up at all for the time being.

The reason we have found out about the PC version is simply that hard times have forced Take2 to include the estimated release date of this very highly anticipated GTA title in order to convince shareholders that the future looks promising. I am pretty sure I have the game coming to me since my wife has dropped some hints that I should not go out and buy it so close to my birthday (Nov. 13). Not that I could find any copies on the store shelves were I live anyway. . .everyplace was sold out. So I guess I have to wait 2 weeks and see. . .I can hardly wait. I would rather have it on PC but doesn't look like that is in the plans any time in the very near future so I'll have to settle for PS2 version. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Your true about having on the computer there ahurrt, because u have use analog on the ps2 and I am more used to the arrow keys thing, did GTA III use and analog, and vice city?
Which part are u up to germanNiklas, or are u just chiliing in the game and killing people?

at the moment im just going around, looking at everything, killing cops so i get guns, killing some other ppl to get money, trying out the cars and the bikes etc :p

but will start now with missions

We kind of drifted away from tha GTA subject and now put it into a off-topic and gaming subject.

George should of known that a modereater (However u spell it) is gonna catch him of being offensive to another member.
It's either he did it on purpose or he did it for laughs, but I don't think he would say that for a laugh.

Well, if I can hijack my thread back now. . .Tomorrow is the big B-day for me. Hope I get it. So how are everybody's overall impressions of San Andreas so far now that everyone has had a couple weeks to play? Will I be glued to my PS2 all weekend or will I be disappointed?
