Desktop clock too fast!??

This isnt my comp..its on my friends comp...
Now ive heard of clocks running to slow...and its caused by a weakening Mobo battery...but this is a new one to me. He has a k6-2 333. DUnno the Mobo...im sure its some kinda POS tho since he got it from a bad comp store. A minute on it passes every 30 seconds. Whats the cause? Whats the fix?

The OS clock it controlled by the bios clock. Find out what mobo it is and look for a bios update at there web site.

Might be the battery, when low, it runs slow, when overcharged, it runs fast.

I dont really wanna bios flash my friends comp..
Even an old bios shoudl at leaast run the clock right...
well..ill see....any other possible causes?
