Has anyone had any experience with the Pentium III Xeon? I'm curious about what performance gains might be had by using one, or perhaps two, of these.

They pretty much perform like a P3 all in all, except they don't seem to bog down much at all. There a little faster than Celerons at the same clock speeds and they have no shortcomings the Celerons have under multitasking loads.
Unless you do a lot of simultaneous task's an the one PC continously, you won't see much difference in performane when compared to a P3 of equal speed.
They are the premo of CPU's, esp the 1 and 2M L2 cache models.

Well, for one thing I know they are huge! Second, from what I hear, they have 512k-2mb of full-speed L2. I do know this: if I have a choice between a P125 and a sink from one of these huge mothas, it would be mighty hard to choose, cept I can modify a celeron sink for my P3.
