"One of the most anticipated PC games of the year now has a launch date.

"World of Warcraft," the online world game from the makers of the incredibly popular "Warcraft" strategy game series, is scheduled to launch the week of Nov. 22, the Free Press has learned."

WoW definately looks like an interesting game...a friend of mine got in on the stress test and it did look promising...the only thing I don't like is the monthly payments. :(

The monthly payments really are worth it. If you compare a MMORPG to another online non-paying game you really see what you get.

Counterstrike sure would be a lot better if it had a monthly subscription type system, just think about all the little kiddies who wouldn't care to get on and swear all over the place.

luckely im in a clan and we have own server
we have some "rules" on our server . . .

if u swear and call other players NOOB etc u get a warning . . . if its going on i kick or ban them

there are enough cs players, dont want idiots on our server

Cutting down on the immature is definately a major bonus (players have to be 18+ or borrow a credit card).

CS wouldn't work with a pay per month format, but I see what your saying. Withoug monthly payments the amount of service and upgrades needed to sustain a MMORPG couldn't be hit.
