I am frequently disappointed in $100 MBs that are less acccurate than $5 Watches.

Are any MBs better at keeping accurate time than the others ?

  Which mobos have you used that haven't kept time well? I've got an old Soyo that i'm on right now which has kept the time right for 4 years.

Not really. Two reasons:

The oscillators used are neither precise nor stable over temperature ranges.

Timekeeping in the _running_ PC is all software anyway.

Solution: Set your OS up to fetch the time off an internet time server.

Good advice. Many freeware programs like RocketTime that keep time off servers.
