I am having problems booting up my computer...it does not go through the memory tests or anything...I know the reason is because I installed the 1002 BIOS while my original was the 1006. I am running a Celeron 300a however, and the Asus site said that any bios after the 1001 should run the Celeron fine. Any ideas besides changing the motherboard completely?

Am I reading that correctly? You Flashed it with an older BIOS? Why would you want an older BIOS?
Put the original back in!
You should have it on the CD that came with it.

To Plaster and Stan...
thanks for commenting on my stupidity...yes, it was definitely not a smart thing to do and it is a long story why I did in the 1st place...it deals w/ overclocking though.
To BBA...
I wish it were that easy! The reason is the computer won't even go through the system tests...that means I cannot get into Windows 98, DOS, nor get it to read from a boot disk...so I have no way of changing it. The reason I suggest changing the board is because the chip the BIOS is stored in has the old version of the BIOS in it now and there seems to be no other way of modifying it without a new chip.
