Are there any problems with playing Deus Ex on XP? I presume I will have to do the whole "Emulate windows 98" right click on the Shortcut deal. let me know if there are and hotfixes before I go home. I love broadband at work, and simply refuse to dial in from home.

Aside from running it in compatibility mode you should be all set.

I have no problems running Deus Ex under Xp pro, no emulation required at all. I play it alot because it is one of my all time favorite games! (That and Warlords Battlecry ):)

As far as I know win2000 does not have compatibility mode. I don't have 2000, so the only thing I can suggest is make sure all of your drivers are up to date, and the newest DX is loaded.

At one time (through NTcompatible.com) you could download a combatibility tool that mimiced the one for XP. I rarely got it to make win98 games to work though.

BTW, inspite of the aged Unreal Engine, this game absolutely rocks. I can't believe I didn't catch it in it's hay day.

The Moral ambiguity of hacking ATM's one minute, shooting terrorists in the face the next, and after that executing a drug dealer it too freakin cool.
