divx problems

hello people.

help me out here. i have just installed a trial version of divx palyer 2.5.5 to view movies. but it cannot load my movies. i reinstalled a couple of times with no luck.

any help would be appreciated, or better still a better program

To view movies in the Div format all you need is the codec and some player; you can get these right here: http://www.download.com/DivX-Player-with-DivX-Codec-/3000-2139_4-10316156.html?tag=lst-0-2
As to troubleshooting that particular application, it'll be quite hard; what happens when you try to open a movie? How do you try to open it?

I would recommend the xvid codec over divx.
also becareful installing the divx codec if you don't watch out you will get ad-aware with it.

LOL I meant adware not ad-aware.
