missing tabs on task manager

for some reason all the tabs are missing from my task manager. i can turn off applications but i have no acceess to anything else.

any reason how this could happen?

how can I fix it?

I'd also like to mention that my address bar has vanished from IE. could this be virus/spyware related?

I use googles toolbar at the moment and that seems to get me around but is kind of a pain.

I have ran ad-aware, spysweeper, and spybot and removed what they detected, but my problems are still there.

double click the frame of the task Manager window it should reappear ;) .. and IE address bar, is it checked ? just right click where there's no bar or icons and see if it is.

thanks. Strange... could well be related. Have you tried unchecking it and checking it back?

Make sure you have not accidentally moved the address bar to the right edge of the IE window.

thanks, the toolbar repair utility worked just fine.
