unable to surf internet after MB install

I am having trouble getting my internet explorer working now that I have installed a new Amptron 3748 MB. I can connect to the internet fine but am unable to communicate with any web sites. I am using a shared modem. The client that is not working correctly is a Win98 machine connected to a WinNT SBS 4.0sp5 server where the modem is. I have reinstalled the client modem sharing software, reinstalled Win98, TCP/IP protocols, and IE4. I even installed a modem locally on the client computer and had the same problem so I've determined it is not a client/server communication problem. I've also removed all other protocols. There are no COM port conflicts and TCP/IP Communication works fine over the network. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated, this is a mojor headache! I will be out of the office until next monday or tues and probably will not be able to reply until then (unless I get an immediate response). Thanks again!
