Just downloaded the express sp4 for win2k.
Where on the hardrive does the program put these files?
I've looked around for anything in temp folders and found nada.
I'd kinda like to back these files up for any future use rather than have to download them all over again.
Anyone know where these files get cached during download?(know this probably a no-brainer for most but I often need all the help I can get)
Thanks in advance.

Download the sp here then you can put it on a disk for future use. http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/index.html I don’t think you can save the actual installed sp files.

you might as well make a slipstreamed cd.

Make a folder on your desktop called SP4. When you click on the SP4 download file it will need to be unpacked/extracted to a folder. Browse it to the folder on the desktop called SP4. In the folder on the desktop called SP4 you will find the entire extracted file.

Shut down all applications and systray applications and End Task then using Task Manager. Click within the folder on the desktop called SP4 and within it a file called setup (the top-level setup file) and it will install the Service Pack 4 for W2K.
