So the NV40 > NV41 and R480 > R430? but R480 is only PCI-E, which really really really sux for me...I'm gonna look into a new set of cards which hopefully have AGP variations... ...wait... Jakk didn't you post an article somewhere that said there were going to be no now cards this quarter? and http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=18853 Does that mean ATI will be releasing some PCI-E only cards in AGP format??? or what...or is it some sort of adapter to connect PCI-E cards into an AGP slot? bob05 10-11-2004, 05:03 PM Originally posted by ShadeZeRO http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=18853 Does that mean ATI will be releasing some PCI-E only cards in AGP format??? or what...or is it some sort of adapter to connect PCI-E cards into an AGP slot? Not an adapter, but a chip that converts PCI-E signals into AGP ones (or vice versa). Anyh00t, Nvidia did it first. ;) Bigjakkstaffa 10-11-2004, 07:17 PM There probably wont be any "new" (as in faster than the current top end) cards before 2005 - i'd be willing to wager there may not even be any until the R5xx though i cant back that up of course. --Jakk:t SysOpt.com
