[This message has been edited by LJE2 (edited 06-28-99).] LJE2 06-29-1999, 01:46 PM You don't need to change your motherboard if you have a free PCI slot you can buy an UDMA66 controller card to put in this slot that will give you the capability to fully utilize a UDMA66 hard drive. Go to www.pricewatch.com/ (http://www.pricewatch.com/) , click on "controller cards" in the catagory "I/O" and go to "DMA" for prices on the Promice UDMA66 card, Abit also makes a card called the "Hot Rod 66" and I'm sure there are others. The motherboard you have now will recognize you new UDMA66 hard drive, but the fastest burst rate it can handle is 33 Mb/s (UDMA33) [This message has been edited by LJE2 (edited 06-29-99).] kfir 06-30-1999, 12:11 AM give me some names of boards that support UDMA66 SysOpt.com
