Hm, I seem to be running into problems when I try to ghost my ATA 133 drive to ma new SATA 150 drive. Is there a compatibility problem between ghost 6.51 and SATA drives?

ghost "6.51" sounds pretty old. My version is called 2003 and it's older than 12 months.
Have you looked through their extensive support section on their web site?

even if you did ghost over the image, it wouldn't boot properly. you are changing drive controllers, which will mess up the HAL. You would have to do at least a repair install.

Ghost 6.51 is older than Ghost 2003 and 2003 needs to be Liveupdated to be able to deal with SATA drives.
