1st I understand the risk of overvolting a CPU.
I got the EPoX 8RDA3+ motherboard. This BIOS will allow me to go up to 2.2Vcore. Well, I *need* to try and get it to run at a higher Vcore than 2.2V, how can I do this?
Please, just answer the question if you know how because again, I know the dangers, and temp and other things like that are not an issue here... I just need to know if this can be done.
Thank you.

You get what the BIOS gives you as options, nothing more.

Ahhh, alright.
Just wanted to make sure there werent any Vcore volt mods that I didnt know about or somethin.
Thanks Sterling :)

Have you tried the BIOS from July?

These guys might have something for your board... I just scanned it I didn't look at the detail.

You're the man Strawbs :)
I been looking for a forum like that... maybe I'll find something now! I got a couple of other small issues as well that I need to get sorted out ;)

I've heard of folks run XP CPUs up to 2.6v - it's how they get those insanely high overclocks of 3.4-3.6GHz under cascade compressors.
You problably need a cascade compressor on your regulators too

lol, yeah...
I know a couple guys with Phase Change. One is running 3.1GHz stable and can boot 3.2GHz. He's only got 2.1Vcore. Really the colder you are the less Vcore you need.. I'm at 2.06Vcore and 2.8GHz - almost same Vcore as this other guy and he can boot at 3.2GHz!

But on the same token, the cooler you run, the higher your maximum voltage can be without your CPU refusing to operate. So it's a double-edged sword in the positive sense.

Yes that is true, I never realized it before I started talking to some of these people with the real extreme cooling... less temp = less Vcore to be stable @ same clock or more Vcore to be stable at higher clock.
I just think its soo cool how right now at 2.83GHz @ 2.06Vcore I'm stable, but if I went with more extreme cooling I could probably still be stable at 2.83GHz but only with more like 1.8-1.9Vcore!!! But obviously I would keep it at 2+Vcore and shoot for the higher clock :p

You could probably hit 3 stable at 2.2-2.4v.

It's called increasing fan speed. ;) :D

You already have watercooling, so you have half the cost of a pelt system already, and even with phase change, you will be using a lot of neoprene. Look into a high wattage pelt, either a second or extremely highly rated PSU, and adding a couple fans to increase your radiators ability and 3 GHz should be reachable.
