I've got a versatel ADSL conection from Zonnet. It comes with an E-tech 4 way modem-router which works excellent.
What I don't understand is this. My laptop gets much higher speeds (according to internetten.nl speedtest) than my
desktop. Both computers have 100Mbit NWcards and I tried switching portnumber on the router.
The laptop has a millenium install while the desktop is XP. I tried several settings but nothing got my desktop as
speedy as my laptop.
Anyone an idea, is there a special setting in XP or is my desktop NWcard (3Com EtherLink XL 10/100 PCI For Complete
PC Management NIC (3C905C-TX)) just slow?
Are ther special programs that enable finetuning networkcards?
Btw the speeds are apx 750 mbit against 424 for the desktop.
