Hi folks, hope this is the right place.

I was given a free programme called advanced disk cleaner, its brilliant.
Whenever I use the option regedit, it opens a domain folder in the registery.

This folder is always full of porn site addresses - .com & .net. I never visit any such sites, but as soon as I delete these entries, they are back, always 50 or more, and they show as folders. Has anyone an idea how they get there? and how do I prevent them coming in my registery.

I run spybot, adaware, spysweeper, spywareblaster, aluria and spyguard, in addition to AVG and e-trust. Still they return as soon as I delete them, rather frustrating. Any solutions please.

Are Adaware and Spybot up to date?

Try this: run the software you talked about; look at the list and write down some of the addresses; it'll get cleaned up, right? Reboot and press the Start button, select Run, type "regedit" and press OK - on the Registry Editor, go to the Edit menu, select find and insert one of the addresses you wrote down; see if it finds anything.

where are they located? It could be the search files for spyware blaser or spybot. They oth look for content from bad sites and have lists of files to look for.

Maybe they come back because you update the programs.

Sometimes these things are loaded from temp files. Might help to clean out all your temps , maybe use CCleaner to assit you. Also , the Content.IE5 folder with index.dat files .
