I've been through several sites looking for an explanation on what do BX and LX mean. It comes as part of the name of some new intel motherboards, and I think it's related to "full" or "small" versions of the mb. If some of you know what that means, please share!!!

thanks and cheers!!!!

Hi

Main difference between LX and BX
LX is 66MHz bus: for PII from 233 to 333 and Celeron
BX is 66 AND 100MHz bus: for PII from 350 to 450 and PIII from 450MHz.

BX is just newer that LX. So don't buy any LX mobo.

There are other difference:
- amount of RAM that these chipset can cache
- type of mem they use
- ...

Check intel's web site for more info
