If I add some pc100 ram to a motherboard that does not support it or makes no use of the 100 mhz bus speed feature, will it still work as plain RAM? because, pc100 RAM is cheaper... or no?

Old... one of the first 150 mhz pentiums... comes with 4 simm slots and 1 dimm... pretty sure it doesn't have a 100mhz bus...hmmm....
