If you're running the classic seti, it will not allow BOINC to run. You need to be registered on the boinc site and have your code entered into the client. It takes awhile for any results to show up on the site, they have to do some kinda processing & confirmation of your result before you get a score for it. The system was really backed up about a month ago. I don't know if it's any faster now, I went back to SETI classic on everything.
As long as you have at least 1 system running classic (and not boinc), you will still get WU's scored there, but any systems running boinc will only score on the boinc site.

Did you install the command line client or just the graphic version? Look on the seti-boinc site for instructions to install the cmd line version. I believe it runs faster. It's something like boinc_cli.exe install

Its the you'll have to build it from the source code using Visual Studio .Net.

If you look in the boinc folder on your computer, the client is there all ready to go. (boinc_cli.exe)
