CPU swap in win XP

Hi guys!! :)
I am thinking in changeing my P4 2.4 for a 3.2e in my pc, but, the connection to the internet is VERY slow and I am in the middle east, in case I need to talk with somebody from ms, so, what type of problems should I have if I go for the cpu swap?, will this affect the stability of my system? your help will be appreciated!!

Just make sure your mobo supports the cpu in question. On the software side, it’s not going to affect anything like a mobo swap would. You’re not going to have to reinstall windows or anything.
