Well I got a free Prolinea from work with a 4.1 gig hard drive. The thing is that the tech support used EZ bios to let it see the drive, I found a bios upgrade that lets the bios work with it w/o the Ez Bios garbage. I have tried fdisk /mbr and formatting the whole drive. No luck at all. So then I thought the MBR must be protected in the bios... but I couldn't find the option in the software bios. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Just go to Western Digital's web site and it has the instructions for the removal of EZ Drive. The only problem I see with EZ Bios is if you do scandisk with fix all errors it makes the HD unusable. You will probably have to download the ez bios program (make sure it is the right version)_to get it off.

Download WD EZ-Drive to reformat your HD, that will remove the EZ-Bios.
