W95 shut down hangs at Please Wait and will not make it to "ok to power down" screen. Also effects shut down to dos or rebooting W95 when changing settings.... All available diagnostics have not helped (scandisk, Nuts&Bolts, FA98,Tweak.....)

Occasionally I've seen a machine that a network card causes this. It happens even more often if you have file/printer sharing enabled. Try disabling your network card (if you have one) just to see if that is where it is coming from and then go from there.

Thanks.... No NIC... not on a network... it will shut all the way thru maybe once out of 30 times or so... no clue... and do not wish to reload W95 once again...

Thank you.....I found the link and tried some of the things....... of course Im a male and cant do one at a time changes to see what was the problem...... but for the time being it seems ok.... who knows if it will stay that way. Thank you again.
