I'm going to be getting high-speed internet soon, and I have been thinking about subscribing to an online RPG for a while. I just don't want to waste my money on a crappy game. Now, I'm not really into the war games (I get wasted too easily :-P). I've been thinking about Star Wars: Galaxies. Is this game any good or are there better games out there?

Thanks

I would hold out for World of Warcraft or Everquest 2. Both should be coming out in November.

I'm more excited for EQ2 personally. I was going to try them both, but if they both release at similar times ill just go with EQ. Im a huge Warcraft fan, but EQ just looks better.

Star Wars Galaxies in a word. . . sucks. Played it when it was released and got tired of it after about 2 months. Unless they've improved it drastically, steer clear of this stinkbomb.

Guild Wars (http://www.guildwars.com/default.html) will be the next big thing IMO (release 1st qtr 2k5). It's breaking the mold in a few ways.

I bought SWG but only played for about 2 weeks. Just couldn't get myself into it.

If you like the matrix there is

"The Matrix: Online" --highly creative...

It's kinda like City of hero's except a tad different...

No point in playing a MMORPG with out pvp in my opinion. Thats why i play Lineage 2.

I might pick up City of Heros is that gets pvp and ill have to try Middle Earth Online when that comes out.
