win 95 troubles

I have win95 and it is on 3 1/2" floppies. The problem is that disk 1 is bad. I have iton cds but this pc dosen't have cd drive. And i need to reinstall windows on this pc
any help would be greatful

But if I were you I would
make sure your floppy drive
is not bad and is destroing
your floppy disk.

If you've registered that copy of W95, you can get replacement disks from MS. It's an extreme hassle, but it can be done. Good luck...

drive isn't bad the upgrade disks work but I don't have win anymore kind of hard to upgrade. Some strange reason win95 upgrade dosn't want to upgrade dos to win95 can't figure it out http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif :O

If you have windows upgrade you may need the windows 3.x for win95 to be installed correctly.
You should be able to install 95 but you will be prompted for 3.x disks.

If you need specific disks I have 3.11 lying around somewhere. I could send you the copies you need for an install.

before you blow away that system.. you could of connected it to a network.. and then share the cd rom drive.. copy all windows cab files.. onto the harddrive and then run setup.. from the drive.
