The SB32 audio card (Model: CT3930) does not playback sound. Under the Device manager tab - Properties for Multimedia devices the following error message appears:

System failure:Try changing the driver for this device. If that doesn't work, see your hardware documentation. (Code 8).

I have tried changing / updating the drivers for this device but nothing happens. This problem began after I added more system ram (tot. ram: 50Mb) and a second Fujitsu Hard disk drive (2.1Gb).

I have read the manuals thouroughly but I still cannot solve this problem. I also tried restoring the registry using the Emergency Recovery utility in Win 95, but nothing occured.

Please help!!
thanx in advance!

Check your interrupts. If you added the HD to your secondary controller instead of making it a slave on your primary, perhaps you are now using an interrupt that the sound card used to be using.

Primary uses 14, secondary 15, generally.
