I have a SuperDisk floppy internal floppy drive installed. Had some problems yesterday and pulled the machine apart. When I put it back together, I pushed the ribbon cable on off-center and bent one of the pins on the drive. When I tried to straighten it, it broke. If it was a regular floppy drive, I'd probably replace it, but the SuperDisk is a little pricey.

Anybody out there describe a fix / simple repair?

Any help will be greatly appreciated,
Mark Simpson

Not familiar with the SuperDisk Drive, but I think I can safely say that the drive cannot be repaired, or at least not easily or inexpensievly. Perhaps your warranty might cover it?

I hate to say it but it's gone. I can think off some wild ways to fix it but it would make me look more foolish then I already appear. Good luck http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I would say, in my completely nonexpert opinion, bummer. Write the manufacturer and tell them to use stronger Metal for their pins :0)
