My cd-rom stucks,pls help.

I got some problem with my philip PCA328 cd-rom on windows 98 lately (it works well before). The cd-rom can only correctly read the newly inserted cd for the first few minutes, then it stucks and usually brings my whole system down. When it stucks both the green light of cd-rom and red light indicating hard disk are on, the cd-rom is busy reading and makes more noise than usual. Could anyone help me with the problem,please? By the way could anyone send me the driver of philip PCA328 cd-rom? I lost the original disk, thanks a lot!
