I have two sound cards on my computer that I am planning on using at the same time (for constant use and for recording new audio files at the same time). Both sound cards are made by Creatives Ensoniq, except one is a professional soundcard and the other is not (newer or older driver?). Can anyone tell me a basic step by step process on how install the software/driver for both of these sound cards and make them work on Windows 98? If it helps any, is there a special way I need to connect the sound cards? Are they suppose to be connected together? Also, I have a CD-RW and a CD-ROM Drive, should I connect these separately or together? Your response will be helpful since this is my first time doing this type of configuration.

By my experience, two sound card cannot be used at the same times. It is the same problem that using two graphic card at the same time. The stronger will take the operation in charge.

ditto what Decklord said. Plus I would put the two cdROM drives on the same IDE cable and any HD's on the other.

Well I finally got both sound cards to work at the same time. My next step is to somehow separate the two. I would like to record/play on one and play on the other. Any ideas? If I figure it out, I'll be happy to pass my information on.

What do you mean by separating the two?
By the way, Congratulations. I've tried it with a Turtle Beach card and the SBLive. Never got everything to work 100%. Didn't try too hard tho'.
