Do I have any chance to bust my motherboard if I don't do it right? MadMax 06-21-1999, 11:21 AM Look for the reset lead pins on the mobo. This circuit is just a straight short so polarity doesn't matter. You won't damage anything as long as you only attach your reset lead to the reset pin pair. The pin pair is usually labelled on the mobo. Most mobos have all of the case leads (Pwr,hdd led, reset, turbo) in the same physical location. Look for the cluster of pins and wires leading to the front panel of your case. Find the pin pair labelled reset. Find the reset button wires. Slide the two pin lead end from the reset button wires onto the reset pin pair on the mobo. Reset to your hearts content. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif [This message has been edited by MadMax (edited 06-21-99).] fishboy 06-21-1999, 11:34 AM that should be easy to fix. Ditto Madmax. There are a bunch of connectors on the board that control all the LED's, internal PC speakers, and the reset switch. The connectors are usually labeled and the label is usually on the board as well. Just connect the connector to the appropriate pins on the board and you should be fine Decklord 06-21-1999, 07:44 PM Well... I've checked the lead and it seems on the right spot but it is not working. I'm supposed to have a ground cable and a resetcon cable. Which is the green and which is the black in those because the black is in the ground and the resetcon is in the green. MR COMPUTER 06-21-1999, 10:18 PM If it is in the right spot, polarity does not matter. All the reset does,is momentarily short two pins. Start the system with the case off. Pull the two wire connector off the reset pins. Momentarily short the two pins with a piperclip. If the reset works, you have a bad switch/wires problem. If it doesn't,verify with the mb book that those are the correct pins.If so RMA the board. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif Decklord 06-22-1999, 08:40 AM Is there any chances that my female reset pins is reponsible for that problem?
