My friend and I are going to reformat his hard drive, that has two partitions, and then upgrade to Win 98. I have done this a number of times, but only when there was one partition. Ideally, he wants a one partition hard drive. Do I need to use a program like Partition Magic to do this, or is there an easier way? Thanks.

Just use a startup disk with the fdisk command on it. Use fdisk to remove the partitions, and then add a new partition. Format the drive, and load 98. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
