In my motherboard manual it says:

Caution:
The PW1 and PW12 Power Connectors must be used simultaneously or else this system will not boot-up.

Now, PW1 = 20-pin ATX Connector and PW12 = 4-pin ATX Connector. I never used them both at the same time, but I have to with this motherboard?

Thanks.

Yep. Some boards use them both, some don't. Hang on, didn't you used to have an NF7-S? They use both

Thanks fishybawb - Thats what I figured, but I was confusing myself!

Darnit... my 4-pin ATX connector isnt modded with the Red UV Reactive connector like the rest of my molex/atx/floppy connectors are, since I never had to use it, oh well

Yeah, I had the Abit, its dead now :(

Screwed it up in two different ways... Ripped a PLL right off the board removing the sink that was on top of it, but when I did that however, it was already broken, because they day before I screwed up the diode under the CPU heh. I was just removing all the chipsinks incase I ever want to use them on a new board.

I just got this EPoX now, the 8RDA3+, its going to be awesome! I dont got it running yet, because I'm just now finishing off the box its going in with a new water cooling setup, but the board came with a "Power Pack" which had a mini EPoX screw driver with 4 different attachments, 8 MOSFET sinks (how cool is that?!) to sink the MOSFETS if you want (of course I want!), a EPoX case badge, and two rounded IDE cables that match the board :)

I already sinked the MOSFETS with the ones they give you and put a aftermarket HSF on the NB (the one I had been using on the Abit)

Here is how it's shipped:

Here it is after the 8 MOSFET sinks and my Thermalright NB HSF:

That's a nice looking board, and the reviews I've read are pretty impressive. I used to have an 8rda+, which was a great board. It's since been replaced with an NF7-S and now my little Biostar iDeq 200N SFF system :) I don't think I've ever seen MOSFET sinks packaged with a mobo before!

Yeah, this board is supposed to be a "overclockers dream"

And yeah, from what I understand thats the way it was - 8rda was the way to go, then nf7-s came along, but now these new 8rda3+ rev3.x's are supposed to be better again...

Hopefully it will be for me anyways :D

With your watercooling project you'll definitely be going the right way to getting the most out of it anyway. Still contemplating the VDD mod at some point?

I would like to, but I think I'm going to have to wait till I guide comes out for these newer rev3's

The one guide I found, here (http://www.motherboardfaqs.com/content.php?content.33), does not match what my motherboard looks like.

A good one to show that in that guide is the 4th picture down. Mine is not exactly the same :( It's very different.

I will practice on my dead Abit, and once a guide comes out for my exact motherboard I will do it, but until then I'll have to see/live with what I can get out of it without any hard mods.
