Quake 2 Colored Lighting

I have Quake 2 and a 8MB Permedia 2 2D/3D PCI card. My problem is that when i run Q2 i get no colored lighting! What's going on!

Are you using the latest video drivers and DirectX6?
Are you playing in the Power VR mode?

You have to to get the OpenGL effects, although I'm not to sure about the PowerVR capabilities.

Yes i have the newest drivers for my board and DX6.1. I can't play in PowerVR mode because my board doesn't have a Rendition chip it is a Permedia 2.
