In winxp why does ctrl-alt delete bring up a funky looking close program dialog. Instead of showing processes, apps etc it only shows endtask, switch to task and something else? how do I put that back to normal?

Sterling_Aug 09-15-2004, 02:57 PM It is normal. slam 09-15-2004, 04:41 PM I must have been unclear. on winxp new install I would see the following ctrl alt delete takes me to windows task manager with file, options, view, help tabs: applications, processes, performance, network, users and an end process button. now I get none of the above except a list of applications and the end button, switch button ... this is not normal... before I could kill processes now I cannot. rraehal 09-15-2004, 05:51 PM You may have hidden your menus. Simply double click on the window in a border area. All of the menus and tabs should show back up. rraehal 09-15-2004, 05:56 PM Take a look at this picture. Double click in the red circle area to get a "normal" task manager. slam 09-15-2004, 06:09 PM thanks. smart of them to put a button to restore the menus eh. SysOpt.com
