Boot Virus won't clean

I am working on a friends computer which I found to have Stealth_Boot.B virus in memory. This is causing W95 to stay in Dos Compat mode. The machine does not have virus protection, so I used my Norton rescue disks to find the virus. It found the virus but cannot clean it. I tried several times to clean it but to no avail...

Any ideas how to get rid of it??

Here's where you can get a copy of AVP for DOS and WIN.

I use AVP for WIN and have used the DOS version when McAfee wouldn't do the job on another system.
