Now this is a kick in the ***...yesterday I brought my PC into the shop (ComLogic in San Diego), and purchased a 300W power supply and a Western Digital 18GB HD. I asked those guys to make sure that everything was functioning properly before releasing it back to me (since I live about 40 minutes away. Anyways, an hour after I brought it home and began to install my software, The **** power supply goes out! You should have seen the look on my face...it was a nightmare come true. I've got a good amount of expensive hardware, not to mention what I just purchased. I went back over there upset, but still professional. It sure was the power supply. I asked if this defective power supply damaged any of my other hardware. They said it was nothing to worry about...but I can't help but stress about it. Everything seems normal with it now, but what if my new hard drive is damaged, and I won't know it until something goes wrong? ****! Should I go back there and raise cain with the manager?

I had my power supply to go out about 2 weeks ago also. I felt like you do (worried about all my other components). I got a new power supply a week ago and everything seems to be working fine with no problems. I'm just hoping for the best! Maybe this will relieve your worries a little bit!

Thanks silver. I guess sh** happens to all PC enthusiasts. Well, I'm working on it right now, and everything seems to be fine. I also performed a thorough check with scandisk. Nothing was found there, so I guess I'll just have to live with it.
