Security Centre in a domain

Ok, I am testing XP SP2 for work, and one thing is puzzling me. It tells me that as the computer is part of a domain (2000 server) the settings are managed elsewhere, and I can't get to the alert settings. Please see attached file.

How and where do I set these now then?

Could the Domain controller be setting Security Centre policies and casting them down to the machines?

(unlikely - but the only thing i can think of ATM)

That was the only thing I could think of, but how does a 2k DC group policy know about the security centre? Especially as there have been no updates to the schema available for it.

SP2 is set to automatically be over ridden byt eh security settings that are passed down by the domain controller.
