Can someone explain FTP? I notice when trying to download MP3, I get no reply from any music labeled FTP. I am new to downloading MP3. Thanks

FTP stands for file transfer protocol. It is usually faster for downloading files than http. You can use some ftp sites with your browser, but others require a ftp client such as wsftp or cuteftp. FTP allows the servers administrator to set up qoutas for max number of connections, upload/download ratios etc. Your problem may be that the sites you are visiting have ratios.
