Can a pentium II 233 mHz Packard Bell system have the processor replaced with a Celeron 400 mHz? The pentium II has a 66 mHz bus speed(one of the first pentium II systems to come out) as does the Celeron. Found a good deal on a 400 mHz Celeron. And will it perform better then the 233 Pentium II?
Thanks!!!!!1
you'll need to check if your mb bios supports a 6X clock multiplier (6x66=400) and 2.0V core voltage. best way would be to check packard hell's website and see what the latest bios version of your mb supports (if its newer than what's on your board).
and yeah, it should perform way better than the pentium2 233.
