How much bandwidth does a game dedicated server uses? For games like....bf1942 and UT2004?
How much bandwidth is sent out per client? like 10kb/s?
Also,so far I know to set up a dedi server for a game, just run the server prog in the game dir. But how to control the server settings in the game? Like example, some guys wants to sell the server, etc. How can the person he sells to control the game settings like modes, friendly fire, etc.?

People connecting to a game server will usually send out 3-5 kb/s each...but you can do the man and see that having a lot of people connected will eat up a lot of bandwidth over time.
Most modern games like bf1942 will have a free download for a dedicated server, or will come with the software on the game cd itself.

If I got a 500kb/s bandwidth limit....will it be enough to host 2 servers of maybe 32 players each, maybe 1 game of CS/HL and another for COD or bf1942?
I got a 2TB bandwidth monthly limit btw.

If thats 500 kilo BITS then no, you will need a LOT more bandwidth than that for 32 players. If its 500 kilo BYTES then yes.

Is that 3-5 kilo bits or bytes? I think its bytes, right?

500kb up will get you about 12 - 16 people for counterstrike and probably less for bf1942

Theres a little confusion about bits and bytes.....if I got a 500 kiloBYTES bandwidth limit.....according to MJCfromCT,I will be able to host a huge server with at least 32 players? How/where can I check how much bandwidth does 1 person use for a game?
