Does anyone else like playing older games (soldier of fortune, descent3) along with new ones (far cry, revolution, dead man's hand). With such high-end and low-end sys reqs, does anyone have problems getting their system to utilize both types?
I'm still getting familiar with the Radeon saphire 9600, and the new drivers are a problem 'cause i couldn't un-install the old Rage Pro drivers that was a chipset in the old mainboard. So i know there's a mess i have to figure out; but before i start beating my head against a 2nd wall, is it normal to have to go into and change your video settings back and forth to run low-end games and high-end games, on a (for me) high-end system: win98se, 2.2ghz, 1gb ram. I'm trying to help determine the number of problems that need addressing.
This is not fun.
Thanks,
Poet
