ABIT TX% system updated with a WD 28400 from a running 3.1 system to win98. New OS loads OK without any errors. The drive is partitioned 5oo mb for OS and 7.9gb for applications.
When I boot up the system, hangs at verifying DMI pool data.....dead, requires reset. Only other hardware in box is VGA PCI board Stealth64 Video 2001 which drives the tube OK. I put the hard drive in anither box with an ASUS P2BF and use it as boot drive, runs both d4rives well.great.
Could it, would it be the old BIOS, almost two years old?
