well, it had always worked with win98se, but recently i formatted my comp and installed winXP, now the mouse wheel does not work (scrolling).

Does it work in windows in general? What type of mouse is it? If its a MS mouse, download the intellipoint software and then give it a go, if it isn't, make sure its set to a wheel mouse of some sort in the mouse properties in the control panel and see what that does.

My mouse wheel zooms in and out on my character in everquest. It does not do anything else in the game that I have found. I have always played EQ on XP.
