ATI 9800 PRO...Anything better for the price ??

Hi, I currently have an ATI 9800 PRO 256MB......Is there a better video card (mainly gaming) for the same price ?

the normal 6800 can be had for around $270, it is a much faster card then the 9800 Pro.

In the 200 dollar range which is about how much a 9800 Pro is, there is nothing better. Like Yoshi said you will have to go up in price to get higher performing cards.

Consider that his is the 256mb version, which currently sells for about $260. That puts it in the same general price territory as the 6800nu, which indeed is a much faster solution than the 9800 Pro.

The NDA hase just come up on the 6600GT, and whiel i've not had an in-depth look at the reviews yet, first reports are decent, performing in a similar range to the 9800 Pro. Not sure about pricing though
