I am about to buy an asus Av8 deluxe mobo with a 3500+ cpu and want to know if these boards are as fussy about the memory used like the Nforce 2 boards when running duel channel?

Thanks

On AMD64 architecture, the RAM controller is in the CPU, not on the chipset. It's all in the quality of the board's layout and its BIOS.

sOCKET 754 DOES NOT support dual Channel.

You will need to go for Socket 939 for Dual channel.

You'll probably not see any perceivable difference between dual/single channel operation, but if its there and you have the ram, you might as well use it.
