That's exactly what happens. THe game or an app is shown when you Ctrl+Alt+Del and you can End it, it just won't run. In particular most of my games except Unreal and Rogue Squadron, also DxDiag is not going anywhere.
I've just reformatted my HD and installed a "Clean" Win98, DirectX 6.1 and latest drivers for my Matrox g-200 16Mb and my Creative Blaster Voodoo 2 8Mb SLI. All the window apps run just fine. I'm lost as to what is causing this. Any help, and I mean any is most welcome and appreciated.
Sincere thanx.

That sounds rather odd. Are these games that are not diplaying 3d games? You may not have the drivers installed for the 3d card. The video drivers should be double checked.

It's also possible that there is a conflict between the Matrox card and the V2 cards, both of them want to do the 3d work and end up locking each other out.

Another possiblity is that you don't have the cables hooked up correctly to the SLI rig and it is just showing Windows idling in the background thinking you're playing a game. So you should double check the wiring and the cards placement.
