Win98 automatically backs it up each time Windows successfully starts. For more information on ScanReg, look under Start/Help and type in: scanreg. This may give you the information you are looking for. If you want to check for errors and backup again, go to Start/Run and type in: scanreg. If you want to change the maximum amount of backups and view the .ini file, go to Start/Run and type in: scanreg.ini. Did this answer your question? If not, then post again. Bleeding Edge 06-13-1999, 11:43 AM Could be he's asking why scandisk runs at startup and restores a damaged registry. A system crash or unexpected reboots will cause this. Patrick_Lau. Your question is a bit too open. Do as socalgal suggests then post again. SysOpt.com
