I just got a new Abit BH6 board but I think its a dud. Once connecting to the case (power and switch) it wouldn't turn on. I played around with the battery area and then turned the switch on and the board ran for about 5 min. and then just quit like no juice was flowing through the board. I'm waiting on an answer from the place of purchase but am interested in other opinions too. Is it possible for anything concerning the battery to have cause this. It won't turn back on immediatly and if it does it runs for a few seconds and then dead again. The clock in the bios setting was way off and the date was off by over a year. I have a cel400 proc on the board with 64sdram. Any guesses as to my problem or do I really have a bad board?

Don't know what to tell you here, but in the past, there were many people that had problems with their BH6.

Have you tried a different power supply yet? Replaced the battery, just in case, or reflashed the (possibly corrupt) Bios?

If possible, or practicable, I'd suggest you get the board replaced with a different model. Maybe even different make.
